Fostering Saves Lives!
Making A Difference Rescue does not have a facility nor funding to board the animals that come to our rescue in need. Fosters are the backbone for animals rescues like ours.
Fostering an animal is a rewarding experience. Fosters prepare an animal for their forever home by providing a displaced animal not only with a temporary home, but also by socializing the animal, and providing their future adopter with invaluable insight about the animal.
In order to become a foster for our rescue, please be aware that a home visit, screening, and meet and greet are required. If there are existing animals in your home, we must also require that they be present for a meet and greet. We do require that existing animals be fully vaccinated and up to date on their vetting. We also require that any existing animals in the home be spayed or neutered. All adults in the home must also consent to acknowledging that they permit the animal in their home. We also require that any children be present as well for introduction. These are necessary steps that our rescue must make to determine if an animal is the right fit for the interested parties.
We can not determine or guarantee any animals breed composition or guarantee that any animal is 100% housebroken. We can not be responsible for any damage that may be caused. We can only provide our experience, knowledge and the general health of an animal by what is disclosed by our vet. All animals will be vetted by a vet of our choice unless due to health issues, there is a delay in spay or neutering, etc. Vetting is paid for by the rescue and food can be provided if needed. Please note that food provided is only what is donated to the rescue. We are not financially able to supply food by brand/ request. If there is a specific food that you would like to use instead of what we can provide, we ask that you hold onto receipts and submit to us for tax donation receipt.
Please know that we do ask in our contract that you are allowing us to follow up periodically to check on the health and well being of the animal and to provide support when needed. We do appreciate any updates and photos to ensure that the animal is loved and well cared for.
