“Dear Liz & the Making A Difference Crew,
In November of last year, we lost our beloved Rottweiler, Janie after having her in our family for 11 years. Her passing affected me harder than I could ever anticipate. For almost 2 weeks I could not sleep, the heart ache was just too much. Our home felt empty, the silence deafening. I came across your website and fell in love with 2 of your dogs, Doberman/ Rottweiler mixes named JD & Harley. We knew in our hearts that we wanted to adopt a new family member, but never in our wildest dreams did we anticipate two! JD & Harley joined our family just in time for Thanksgiving. They were to us, gifts from up above.
These boys have brought so much joy into our lives. They are amazing with our 4 year old son. They are so incredibly patient and gentle with him. They know that he is their Master. At nights, they each sleep curled around him in his bed. They are his constantly at his side. They are his loyal companions, his partners in crime, and his constant protectors.
As the holiday season begins, I am reminded that there is so much to be thankful for. Another year has passed, and I have my family, my friends, my health, a roof over our heads, food on the table and our beautiful dogs. In these hard economic times, I have realized that it doesn’t have to be hard as long as you have faith, and that you take the time to cherish every moment and love the ones that you’ve got. I have always been a firm believer in that you get what you give.
I wish you and your rescue the very best, and I thank you for all that you do. I pray that more people will open their hearts and their homes to your animals and give them the second chance that they so richly deserve.
Sincerely,
Amy L.”

I want to say thanks for helping my mommy out with my medical care.
She was so devastated because after 4 veterinarians visits my condition
was getting worse. Mommy did not know what else to do without
transportation, money plus dealing with her own illness. I do remember
the days I was not able to move she would be crying while asking me to get
better or she would not be able to feel good herself, that she needed my
little body by her side and listen to my constant barking. I am her little
baby and heart as she always says, I know how much she loves me as I do
love her.
If it was not because of your good heart, my gums and teeth infection
would have been cause me to die in a painful way. My mommy would have
never go over that, thanks God for creating you in such compassionate way.
God will always reward you with good things in life and for sure has a
beautiful place for you over the clouds where we all animals go to join
with people like you.
Thanks for helping me and for taking this pain from my mom’s heart.
this is my today’s picture. I lost 10 teeth but the ones I have left seem
to be clean.
Hugs and a big kiss.
