We lost a dear friend today. “Santa Pop” was our Rescue Treasurer.
For many years he dressed as Santa for our fur friends and donated his time amongst many charities such as ours and the Lions Club. He will be dearly missed.
Robert “Santa Pop” Walters Sr. was born on November 13, 1932 and passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
Robert was a resident of Channahon, Illinois at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife Rosie and his children.
The family will receive friends at Living Stones Community Church, 25124 South Fryer Street in Channahon on Wednesday November 13, 2013 from 9:30AM until time of funeral service 12:00 Noon. Pastor Joe Pospischil will officiate and burial will follow in Willard Grove Cemetery, Channahon.
