Duke Has Been Waiting Patiently For His Forever Home

Update: November 16, 2014

Duke has found his forever home.

My name is Duke.
I will be celebrating my 4th birthday very soon.
I am a pit mix, I am not really sure who my mommy and daddy were.

I lost a leg very early in life, but I have adapted very well.
I can still run and play just like any other dog that has 4 legs.
It makes me so happy to be taken on long walks or given a large fenced in yard to run and get my zoomies out.

I’ve lived with other dogs throughout my time in rescue. Sometimes I don’t understand why the little ones don’t want to wrestle with me but I mean them no harm.

I don’t like being left alone a whole lot. It gives me the blues and makes me a little anxious and scared. I am however crate trained and house broken. I’ve learned how important it is to know my inside manners.

My foster recently suffered an incredible loss. She lost her mommy and has taken in her mommy’s companions. I feel so sad for her. She wants me to find the perfect home where they will be patient and understand that I still need reassurance and that I need more confidence building to be the best dog that I can be.

My foster took me to obedience class and I have learned a lot of new tricks that I would love to show off. I am an over eager people pleaser.

If you live near Channahon, IL orĀ  the Chicagoland Area, and would like ME to be your bestest friend, please contact my friends at Making A Difference Rescue.
I have been waiting patiently for you.
